I think this is absolutely fantastic! all the adventures and people that you get to meet when I was doing travel nursing up in near Joplin Missouri I was actually in Lake of the Ozarks and there's a place called the big red barn in. I think it's called Carthage Missouri. It's absolutely gorgeous family owned and I wish when I did travel nursing instead of taking the housing stipend of up to $2000 a month I would've put the money down on an RV and it would've been paid for a long time ago.

I love these places you know they'd have like a recreation hall and people would get together on a Saturday night. Maybe they'd have like a little dance or something like a country two step and people would bring dishes, but the thing is a lot of these people came to the same place every year and they got to see each other every year at a certain time and of course there were new people. I mean, I just think it'd be a great lifestyle for sure.

So excited to read more 💯🎉

Oh my goodness Kathleen that sounds so cool. I would be up for the two step and such. There are RV groups one can join. They are a ton of fun. Meet all over the place and catch up with old and newish friends. It is a fun lifestyle.

I have met a ton of traveling nurses. I am in awe of what and they do.

I have not been to Hopkins but I have been near the ozarks I’ll have to check on the red barn.

What was your favourite story from your travels?

I don't know if I have a favorite story. I've got some pretty mind blowing ones and I've got some very very funny ones. Remind me to tell you about a travel assignment in Claremont, Florida in the ICU where we brought the "robot" in with the screen that the doctors face was on it's hilarious 😂

Sounds like a grand adventure to me and I would probably do it in a minute if my three dogs were game!

Oh they would love it! It took a little while though Susan. In the beginning there was a bit of a learning curve but now my cats at 17 years old don't even wake up when we turn the engine on.

In this episode I talk about RVing with pets -- well from a cat perspective but I think even easier for dogs. Thank you for reading

Karen I remember when you made the decision to sell your home & RV. I’ve seen so much of America through you. Don’t forget you need to come to MA. ❤️

Thank you Kathie. We were going East after North Carolina — but now we are headed West. You are on my list Kathie. I would never visit unless I got to see you.
